Meet Deb Pellerito, a proud Michigan native, tenured CPA, fraud examiner, valuation expert and avid Detroit Tigers fan. Early childhood memories include listening to their games on the radio, and even keeping her own stats book for most of the 1984 season. These days it probably wouldn’t happen, but back then she wrote a letter to her favorite Tiger and received a two-page handwritten response. Later, Deb met the third-baseman and catcher face-to-face at an autograph signing event with her parents.
Growing up, Deb wanted to be a police officer, professional baseball player or horse jockey, but quickly realized that accounting was a more realistic choice. After becoming a pizza dough-slinging machine at the local Domino’s pizza in high school, she left the old pies behind and entered the world of slinging numbers. Thankfully, she still hasn’t lost her dough-making skills.
During tax season, Deb stays energized by eating healthy, exercising regularly and making her husband and kids a priority any time she’s not at the office. After April 15th, you’ll likely find her golfing, listening to almost any kind of music, soaking up her favorite season (summer) or traveling to her favorite place, the Outer Banks.
